This Privacy Policy explains how Daniel Cherney (“Daniel,” “I,” “me”), a licensed REALTOR® with Seven Gables Real Estate, collects, uses, and shares information when you visit danielcherneyrealestate.com (the “Site”) or contact me through it.
When you use the contact form or an email sign-up on the Site, you may give me your name, email address, phone number, and details about your real-estate goals — for example the type of property you’re interested in, budget, timeline, preferred areas, a property address, or the contents of your message.
Like most websites, the Site’s hosting server automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding general Site usage.
The Site saves a small record in your browser’s local storage to remember whether you have already seen or dismissed an email sign-up prompt, so you aren’t shown it repeatedly. It also records anonymous counts of prompt views, dismissals, and submissions so I can tell whether these prompts are useful. This information stays in your browser and is not used to track you across other websites.
Home-search, listing, and home-value features on the Site are provided by RealScout. When you use those features, your interaction is handled by RealScout under its own privacy policy. See realscout.com/privacy-policy.
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. I share information only as follows:
If you sign up to receive updates, you can opt out at any time by replying to any message and asking to be removed. I may still send you messages that relate directly to an inquiry or transaction you started with me.
The Site does not use advertising cookies. It uses only the browser local-storage described above. Because there is no industry-standard response to browser “Do Not Track” signals, the Site does not respond to them, but it also does not track you across other sites.
I keep the information you submit for as long as needed to assist you and to keep reasonable business records, and then delete or archive it. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
I take reasonable measures to protect the information submitted through the Site. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request that I disclose the personal information I have collected about you, request that it be corrected or deleted, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. As stated above, I do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To make a request, email me at the address below.
